HAMAS AGREES TO RELEASE ALL HOSTAGES AFTER TRUMP'S ULTIMATUM
WASHINGTON. On Friday, the radical group Hamas announced its readiness to release all hostages under a 20-point peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. The group also agreed to transfer power in Gaza and end military actions, though it stated that some points require further discussion among Palestinians.
The statement followed Trump’s ultimatum: accept the plan by October 5 or face "unprecedented consequences."
“If this LAST CHANCE offer is not accepted, all HELL like no one has ever seen before will break out. There WILL be peace in the Middle East — one way or another,” Trump said. He noted that over 25,000 Hamas fighters had already been killed and the rest were surrounded, awaiting a final command.
Hamas said it would release all surviving hostages and return the bodies of the deceased, and is ready to negotiate through mediators.
The peace deal, approved by Israel and supported by Arab and European leaders, includes:
-
Israeli military withdrawal,
-
ceasefire in Gaza,
-
release of over 1,900 Palestinian prisoners,
-
formation of a transitional Palestinian authority,
-
full demilitarization of Gaza.
Hamas will be excluded from future governance. Peace and reconstruction are expected to begin immediately after the conflict ends.
