The Tall Ships visit Midland only every three years! Join us on August 15, 16, and 17 2025 for all the fun.

Midland Harbour will be busy with activities that weekend! There will be face painting, buskers, live entertainment and more. 

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Tall Ships and speak with their crews on Saturday and Sunday. Deck tour general admission tickets are $15 for adults,  $10 for seniors and youth, and children 5 and under are free.

Ever dream of setting sail on a tall ship? There will also be an opportunity to join an evening sail on the ship!

On June 14, 2025 from 9am-5pm our downtown Midland core and our waterfront parks host 200+ vendors and food trucks for Ontario's Best Butter Tart Festival.  Vendors sell everything from butter tarts to unique, hand-made items.  And the variety of butter tarts you’ll find at our festival includes plain, raisin, pecan, walnut, skor, maple, bacon, coconut, chocolate covered, PB&J, s’mores, gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, cheesecake, pumpkin... and many more.

The Ontario's Best Butter Tart Contest will award the prize for BEST Butter Tart in Ontario.  The contest is open to both professional and amateur/home bakers.  The contest features both Traditional and Wild Style categories.  Our judges include celebrities, chefs, food and travel bloggers, and local dignitaries all with one thing in common – a love of butter tarts!

Filmmakers Duki Dror and Yossi Bloch offer a chronological account of the massacre at the Supernova Music Festival through the eyes of the individuals who endured it. Mixing materials meticulously collected from dozens of sources—terrorists’ GoPros, victims’ phones, CCTV cameras, dashcams, and first responders’ recordings—with testimonies by survivors, first responders and parents who recount their stories just a few days after the events.

Just three days after the October 7 Hamas terror onslaught on Israel, longtime Israeli filmmaker Duki Dror visited the location of an infamous massacre from that Saturday morning — the site of the Supernova music festival.

Dror is a veteran documentarian, and his films have tended toward geopolitical subjects in recent years. Now he took on a more visceral subject. Four months after that first visit to the Supernova site, he brought the finished film to the United States: Supernova: The Music Festival Massacre.

“It was really tough,” Dror told The Times of Israel. “I think it’s the hardest film I ever made. I did a few in my career. This one was really tough, really hard emotionally.”

Приглашаем на Музыкальный летний фестиваль "Кленовый рок - 2023", который уже в 7 раз проводится в Онтарио! 

В этом году он состоится 21-23 июля на территории Румынского парка недалеко от Милтона (Romanian Park, 395 Concession 10 E, Hamilton, ON). 

Преимущества этого места в том, что это недалеко от Торонто (минут 40 езды), там есть сцена, бесплатная парковка, электричество, стационарные туалеты и душ. 

Будет два вечерних концерта, в пятницу и в субботу, дневной бардовский и открытый микрофон.Также большая программа мастер-классов, йога, волейбол, специальная программа для детей. Проживание в палатках, будет предоставлено 3-х разовое горячее питание (за отдельную плату), но можно готовить и на привезенных мангалах. 

В концертах фестиваля примут участие известные и любимые группы нашей общины в Торонто: Art&Shok, LostBerries, R-Rated, “Альянс" и др., а также гости из США: Папа Ваня и Бродяги, и молодые, амбициозные музыкальные коллективы. Будут еще сюрпризы, следите за страницами Maple Rock Festival в фейсбуке.

А после концертов можно будет посидеть в компании и послушать бардовские песни.
